The charge of assault against Lee Ryan was dropped in court this morning. Lee pleaded ‘not guilty’ and won all costs connected to the case. Lee has always maintained his innocence and is relieved at the outcome, but is sad that such a case had to take place in the first instance involving the mother of his child.

An assault charge against singer Lee Ryan has been dropped at the request of his former fiancée Samantha Miller.
The Blue star denied attacking 26-year-old Ms Miller, the mother of his two-year-old son, on 18 August.
The assault was alleged to have happened in a car in central London, while the couple were still together. They split up last week.
The 27-year-old, of Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, appeared at City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
After the assault allegation was read out by the clerk, prosecutor Laura Tams asked for the charge to be officially withdrawn.
She said: “I have this morning been handed a withdrawal statement dated 25 August, signed by Samantha Miller.
“Having taken further instructions there is no longer a realistic prospect of conviction. I ask the court therefore to withdraw the charge.”
Ryan’s counsel, Raymond Lewis, said the pair met several years ago.
The couple had been together “up until last week”, he said, adding: “It has been a somewhat unhappy and volatile relationship.”
Mr Lewis added: “Over the last couple of years, complaints have been made on six occasions, in Oxfordshire, London, Paddington Green and Belgravia.
“None of these matters have ever proceeded to court.
“Had this matter been contested, it would have been fought tooth and nail.”
Mr Lewis said he intended to apply for costs on behalf of his client.

Ms Miller withdrew her accusation when Ryan, 27, from Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, appeared at City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
Ryan spoke only to confirm his name, age and date of birth as he stood in the dock dressed in a grey suit, a blue tie and dark suede shoes.

OLD boyband Blue are feeling … well, blue … after songs from their comeback album were leaked online.
The group are working on new material to be released next year.
But two demos Don’t Worry About It (very polished Eighties electrosynth R&B) and Better Me Than You (tougher, with live drums and acoustic guitar) have been leaked on an internet site.
The boys – hoping to make the kind of comeback Take That enjoyed – were furious.
On his twitter account, Simon Webbe wrote: “Just found out Blue demo has been leaked on to YouTube, not cool.
“People who do that sort of thing have no respect for the writer, producer, Blue and most of all music … it’s straight stealing … ” Lee Ryan, who will release his second album later this year, added: “It sucks that Blue’s new songs are out there already.
“It really ruins the anticipation and excitement of music and I feel this is very sad.”
Meanwhile Duncan James, now a judge on Five’s Don’t Stop Believing, was confused as to how the leak had occurred. He said: “Found out that some of the new Blue demos have leaked out on to the net and don’t understand how.”
Antony Costa also tweeted, claiming he was “gutted”.
Fans were split on how they felt about hearing the new songs.
Cristy Loves Sammy said: “I wanna thank you deeply from my heart because you made me believe again in the Blue comeback, it really means a lot to me.”
But Klauklo wasn’t so happy, writing: “You should delete those two Blue demo songs. The guys were actually pretty confused about this and didn’t expect their demos to be published all of a sudden.”
Blue’s R&B sound was a departure from most UK boybands. They split in 2005 after three No.1 albums and selling 15million records.
Since they split they’ve kept in the limelight. Simon has had two top 20 albums, while Lee has tried acting.
Duncan’s solo career flopped and he went into TV presenting.
Antony has tried his hand at acting and, like Simon, was on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!

Blue have expressed their disappointment after one of their new tracks leaked online.
The group are currently working on new material, which Duncan James confirmed would be released next year along with a tour.
On his Twitter account Simon Webbe wrote: “Just found out blue demo has been leaked onto YouTube, not cool! (sic)
“People who do that sort of thing have no respect for the writer, producer, Blue and most of all music…. its straight stealing….”
Lee Ryan, who will release his second album later this year, added: “It sucks that blues new songs are out there already! It really ruins the anticipation and excitement of music and I feel this is very sad!”
Meanwhile James, currently a judge on Five’s Don’t Stop Believing, was confused as to how the leak had occurred.
“Found out that some of the new blue demo’s have leaked out onto the net and don’t understand how!!!! WTF!” he wrote.
